Queensland authorities are warning people who have bought the ‘Berry Obsession’ and ‘Berrylicious’ brands of strawberries in Queensland, NSW and Victoria to throw the punnets out or return to the place of purchase after several incidents of sewing needles were found in strawberries sold at Woolworths.
Queensland authorities have further advised that affected punnets would have expired and are no longer available to purchase. Consumers are urged to check their fridges and freezers for stored product and dispose of any food which may contain this product.
If you are concerned about your health, speak to your GP.
If you find contaminated strawberries contact NSW Police.
More information will be shared as it becomes available.
