Endorsements
Endorsements are nutrition content or health claims made with the permission of an endorsing body. The endorsing body must meet Food Standards Code requirements. Endorsements must not be misleading or deceptive under Australian Consumer Law - see the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) website. The NSW Food Authority does not approve or enforce endorsement requirements.
Marketing
Marketing refers to the way a business promotes its products through advertising, sponsorship, logos or nutritional claims. For example, 'all natural' , 'home made', ' traditional recipe'. Marketing must not be misleading or deceptive under Australian Consumer Law - see the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) website. The NSW Food Authority does not approve or enforce marketing or advertising rules.
Certifications
Certification means a product meets a particular standard, such as quality, ingredients, materials or manufacturing location or process, which can be identified by a certification trademark.
