s10 of the Crimes (Sentencing Procedure) Act 1999 (NSW) allows a court to find an offence proven but decide it is not appropriate to record a conviction. s133(6) of the Food Act 2003 allows orders under s10 of the Crimes (Sentencing Procedure) Act to be taken to be a conviction for the purposes of disclosure of information about offences, ie listing on the 'name and shame' register of convictions. |
