Pizza Hut Cambridge Gardens

The defendant was convicted for offences under section 21(1) of the Food Act 2003, failure to comply with Food Standards Code, namely:

1. Food Standard 3.2.2 Clause 19(2). Failure to maintain fixtures, fittings and equipment to the required standard of cleanliness. There was an accumulation of mould, grime, and food scraps around the fridge and freezer door seals and inside fridges and freezers throughout the kitchen.
2. Food Standard 3.2.2 Clause 19(2). Failure to maintain fixtures, fittings and equipment to the required standard of cleanliness. There was an accumulation of grime on the sinks and taps used to clean and sanitise food contact surfaces.
3. Food Standard 3.2.2 Clause 19(2). Failure to maintain fixtures, fittings and equipment to the required standard of cleanliness. Plastic lids used to cover cooked food in the cool room were not in a clean and sanitised condition. There was an accumulation of grime on the lids.
4. Food Standard 3.2.2 Clause 19(1). Failure to maintain food premises to the required standard of cleanliness. The walls were not being maintained in a clean condition. There was an accumulation of visible matter on the walls.
5. Food Standard 3.2.2 Clause 19(2). Failure to maintain fixtures, fittings and equipment to the required standard of cleanliness. There was an accumulation of grease, grime and dirt on power outlets, food preparation bench, a cabinet to hold food, a pipe, and electrical fittings.
6. Food Standard 3.2.2 Clause 19(1). Failure to maintain food premises to the required standard of cleanliness. There was an accumulation of grease, dirt, and food scraps on the floor underneath the fridges and shelves throughout the kitchen.
